Summer is well known as the time of the midnight sun. Even though the summer is short in Lapland, it´s even more beautiful. Experiencing and exploring summer is fascinating. The fells are ready for hiking and roads prepared for biking. Fishing is interesting and fun and you can try it in lakes and rivers. MONDAY
LEMMENJOKI NATIONAL PARK & RAVADAS FALLS
9:30 Transfer to Njurgulahti, Lemmenjoki. By a river boat 17 km along the beautiful River Lemmenjoki to the Ravadas falls. There you’ll enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls and the surrounding nature of the Lemmenjoki National Park. Optional visit to the felt maker’s studio. Transfer back at 13:15. Duration 4,5 hrs. Available ca. 7.6.-19.9.

TUESDAY
INARI VILLAGE, SIIDA & LAKE INARI CRUISE
10:00 Transfer to Inari village. Visit to Siida - Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre on your own. The exhibitions will show how nature and people have adapted to extreme conditions of the Northern environment. Wonderful photos, videos, dioramas, soundcapes and original artefacts guide you between the seasons and back through past times. Coffee or lunch at Sarrit, Siida on your own. At 13:00 Lake Inari cruise, a beautiful wilderness lake with 3.318 islands and you will visit one, the famous island “Ukko” (Äijih), an ancient sacrificial site of the Inari Sámis. Duration 2 hrs. Some free time for Inari Artisan Trail (Inari Silversmith, Sami Duodji, Näkkäläjärvi souvenirs, Nativa, Samekki. Transfer back at 16:30.

WEDNESDAY
GOLD PANNING & GOLDEN STORIES OF LEMMENJOKI
10:00 Lemmenjoki has magic history of gold prospectors. First by traditional riverboat along the beautiful Lemmenjoki river to the historic gold sites of the river. Then walk ca. 600 m to the gold claim where the host will show the secrets of gold panning and everybody can try his skills in gold mining. If you are lucky, you might find some gold nuggets as souvenirs! Camp lunch by open fire. On the way back we’ll stop by the Ravadas falls. Before leaving we’ll also have a chance to visit the studio of the felt maker Kaija Paltto. Duration 6,5 hrs. PRICE: 75 € / person, when min. 2 persons (including transfers)

INARI SAMI REINDEER FARM VISIT
14:40 Transfer to Inari Sami reindeer farm where the host dressed in colourful Sámi clothing will show you reindeer feeding and tell stories about reindeer herders’ history and modern times. You will also learn the traditional reindeer herder’s skill, Lappish lasso throwing. Coffee in Lappish hut with stories about Sámis, their culture and beliefs. Duration 1,5 hours + transfer 15-20 min. one way.

THURSDAY
HIKING AT LEMMENJOKI NATIONAL PARK
9:00 Hiking trip to Lemmenjoki National Park, possibility to visit to park information centre, transfers included. You can choose 2 trails:
Lemmenjoki Nature Trail 4,5 km: starts at Njurkulahti and follows the course of Lemmenjoki River. In the beginning of the trail, there are old pitfalls for the Wild Forest Reindeer and esker formations typical for the rivercourse. After a couple of kilometres, the trail turns east, and winds along in the hillocky pine forests back to its starting point. Campfire place and information boards. Return transfer at 13:15.
Joenkielinen Circle Trail 18 km: The trail starts at Njurkulahti towards Joenkielinen Fell, where on the top you get great scenery over Lemmenjoki National Park and Hammastunturi wilderness area. Back to Njurkulahti the trail goes along the course of Lemmenjoki River. Four campfire sites and a Lapp pole tent along the trail. Return transfer by request.

CANOEING, KAYAKING, ROWING BOATING AT LAKE MENESJÄRVI
Lake Menesjärvi is ideal small lake for canoeing, kayaking and rowing boating, also on your own with a rental vessel.

BIKING IN THE NATURE & NATURE WALK & PANCAKES
Hotel Korpikartano surrounding and forest roads are nice for biking on your own and the hotel has rental bikes. From the reception you can also ask for hints for nice nature walks. You can also ask for making pancakes on your own in the hotel’s Aurora hut by Lake Menesjärvi in the afternoon.
